saturday afternoon snack

I thought the bubble tea trend in Singapore was over in 2005, but when we were there this summer, my mom got us hooked on Gong Cha. It seems everywhere you looked, there's a Gong Cha stand beckoning. Needless to say, we filled ourselves up with plenty of fancy bubble teas.


Back here in the US, our opportunities for getting bubble tea are severely limited. We like to grab the occasional treat from Basil Thai on campus, otherwise, when we are in Indy, we'll stop in at Taiwan Teahouse. But today we decided to make our own ...


and the "bubbles" in the glass reminded me of fish food ...
