Breakfast à la Singapore

Zach loved eating at Ya Kun's for breakfast when we were in Singapore, so earlier this week we tried to recreate the standard breakfast set of kaya (sweet coconut jam) toast, kopi-O kosong (black coffee, no sugar, no cream), and two soft-boiled eggs dressed with a drizzle of dark soy sauce and white pepper at home. And just for an added boost of protein, we made a side of super crispy bacon too!

p.s. a shout-out to our local D&R Market for having the best meats in town!
