Recipe of the Week: Garlic Shiso Soy Sauce

I just realized that in the midst of our very busy schedule, I forgot to post a recipe of the week! Here's a quick and easy sauce you can make if you have an abundance of shiso leaves like us. Since shiso has a unique taste profile that is citrusy with a mix of mint and basil, you can use it in place of boring soy sauce in any recipe! This shiso and garlic-infused soy sauce will keep well in the refrigerator for 1-2 months. You can always replace/replenish with more garlic and shiso at any time.

For a 6oz mason jar, I used about a dozen shiso leaves,

3 cloves of garlic, sliced thinly (you can use more or less, according to your preference for garlic)

Put shiso leaves and garlic in jar, and then cover with soy sauce. Let the flavors meld for at least a day before using.
