i started in on the seurat mural this morning. i sketched in all the simple forms for the figures and features. then, in the afternoon, i started hatching in the base colors. the wind was a bit much today, but the alleyway is a wind tunnel anyhow, and i don't imagine it is going to get much better. mindy joined me for the whole day and took pictures and gave directions on scale while i was on the ladder. her help got us a solid start and quite a bit completed for the first day.
