Here in Indiana, it's finally strawberry season!
We have three kinds in the garden ...
June-bearing that we got as runners from Zach's mom,
everbearing, that will keep producing fruit till late summer,
and some "wild" Alpine varieties!
Homegrown strawberries are delicious! They are so much more flavorful than the giant strawberries you buy at the store. They are also relatively easy to grow. Not sure which varieties to plant? Here is a chart that shows the best strawberry varieties for each state.
