Flowers in December

We tried growing some sweet williams in the wildflower patch this year but the seedlings never took off. 

Today we bought a bunch of sweet williams for a friend who is recovering from a broken wrist and needed some cheering up. They seem like the perfect happy little bunch of flowers to lift someone's spirit. She wasn't home when I stopped by. I'll stop by again tomorrow.
